Hello from New York!
Maybe it's all the wine I had last night, but there's no way I can produce a write-up such as the one CyBeR ZoMBiE has posted. ..
I received my CD from Yoko a couple of days ago and have listened through twice now. An interesting compilation... many artists I've never heard until now and a few old favorites. Here's the line-up for those who may be interested:
If You're Going through Hell Keep Going / Gloria Deluxe
Jump / Madonna
A Swingin' Affair / Cliff Richard & The Shadows
Strict Machine / Goldfrapp
Running Out of Things To Say / McQueen
I Have Forgiven Jesus / Morrissey
I bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor / Sugababes
Feels Just Like It Should / Jamiroquai
Black Steel (Radio Edit) / Tricky
Shock and Awe / Chechny and The Rebels
What Is It For? / The Jeevas
Shitlist / L-7
Glory Box / Portishead
Dream of Picasso / Caroline Lavelle
Rock DJ / Robbie Williams
Lucretia My Reflection / Sisters Of Mercy
The Rocker / Thin Lizzy
Vertigo / U2
Don't Think Twice / Bob Dylan
Having an extremely varied taste in music myself, I appreciate the eclecticism of Yoko's mix. My favorite "new" tune on here is "What Is It For?" by The Jeevas (never heard of 'em) and my favorite "old" tune is definitely "Don't Think Twice." I'm a huge Dylan fan. Thanks, Yoko!
Apologies to my mixee, Jan... I didn't have a chance to compile my mix until the last minute... I sent it off on Friday, so you will get it shortly I hope.
This is fun! I definitely vote for a Round Two. Is the "don't talk about Mixclub" rule really a rule, or simply a movie reference? I could probably rope in a few more Americans...

It's a movie reference ... :-)
If you have any friends interested in playing, then the more the merrier, really.
Yoko here, struggling to login as myself, LOL!
Glad you enjoyed! :)
