My thoughts on this interesting compilation:
01 James Brown - Sex Machine
One of the ultimate feel-good songs. A great introduction to the compilation.
02 Etta James - I just want to make love to you
Superb! I have several of her albums. Such a sexy voice!
03 The Beatles - Why don't we do it in the road
I can't say I'm overly keen on the Beatles, but this one was most appropriate. Thanks.
04 Sarah McLeod - You shook me all night long
Lovely version of this. I hadn't heard it before.
05 Prince and the Revolution - Darling Nikki
Wasn't too keen on this one. It fitted the theme well, though ;)
06 Amy Rigby - Year of the Fling
I didn't like this one either, I'm afraid, which surprised me.
07Amanda Corr - It Ain't the Meat, it's the Motion
I loved this one. Will definitely be looking out for more.
08 Little Esther and Little Willie Littlefield - Turn the Lamps down Low
I loved this one too. There seems to be a theme regarding my favourites...
09 Big Joe Turner - Shake Rattle and Roll
A great oldie!
10 Little Richard - Tutti Frutti
And another!
11 Orville 'Fats' Noel - Ride Daddy Ride
I remember this one. Great stuff!
12 Elvis Costello - Let's Misbehave
I loved this. What album is this from?
13 Boby Roy Brown - Shake Em Up
I liked this. Unususual, because rock and roll isn't really my 'thing'.
14 The Drivers - Smooth Slow and Easy
I could take or leave this one.
15 Billy Ward and the Dominoes - Sixty Minute Man
Another one I could take or leave - sorry!
16 Wynonie Harris - Keep on Churnin'
This was lovely and thumpy. I found myself humming along.
17 Howlin' Wolf - Spoonful
Great stuff.
18 Louis Armstrong and Velma Middleton - Baby It's Cold Outside
An amusing version
19 Sam Cooke - Feel It
This passed me by, I'm afraid.
20 Marvin Gaye - Let's Get it on
Absolute classic!
21Barry White - Can't Get Enough of your Love, Babe
I was never keen on Barry, sorry!
22 Bruce Springsteen - I'm on Fire
Bruce never rocked my boat either, I'm afraid.
23 Elvis Presley - I want you, I need you, I love you
Argh! No.
24 Bessie Smith - Need a little sugar in my bowl.
Superb! Bravo!
Some super tracks on here, and some I'll never play again. I will be looking out for three or four albums, though.
Thanks so much for taking the trouble to make this for me, N.

Glad you liked it. (Sad you didn't dig Sam- he's one my all time faves- but I understand!) The Elvis Costello is from the soundtrack of De-Lovely.
Thanks, Nicole
